A BRIEF OF THE EVENT
The Kenya Salsafari Festival & Tour 2009 is set to be the biggest Salsa event the African continent has witnessed and is going to be the trip of a lifetime for those who come over to the magical land of the Big 5. Starting Dec 4th until Dec 13th, the event will start with an electrifying weekend of relentless Salsa as seen on the program. Experience dazzling shows by Magna Gopal and others, not forgetting showcases form other guest salseros! Our own local talent will also be on stage, showcasing the true roots of Salsa. The Festival also offer an intensive full day workshop on Saturday, Dec 5th, several night parties and shows and the Kenya Open Salsa Competitions on Sunday, Dec 6th. The weekdays will take us to the Mara, giving you the chance to witness a vicious hunt with the backdrop of a hypnotizing sunset over Kenya's incredible vast Savannah. While there, we'll be doing it raw!!! And of course by 'raw', we mean camping! Four game drives, African dance and drumming lessons, as well as delicious barbecues at the fireplace will complete this truly African experience. Back to Nairobi on Wednesday, we'll take a cruise through its night life and on Thursday night, we'll take a bus to the Coast for the true essence of R&R - enjoying the most amazing beaches and maybe even take a dive with the dolphins into the deep blue ocean. Friday night, we'll Salsa at one of the most popular clubs in Mombasa as we spread the Salsa wings to new heights and on Saturday we complete the Salsa Coast experience with another afternoon workshop. Sunday marks the end of the event in which our guests depart until the Salsa Congress 2011. | |
